General Organisation
Task List
Day Zero – Creating your own 1001 Day Project
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

As a fellow procrastinator, I’d say start saving!!
Hehe. Kiddin.
In order to help you along the path to completion, I say we go to Alton Towers, go on a city break, climb a mountain and go go-karting when I come back at the end of the year!
Sound good?? Maybe even have a flying lesson if it doesn’t cost too much!
I love making lists, but rarely ever complete them!! Haha. Oh well….
This is a good list!

Hi Jan, yeah, it does look like a lot to do, and not all of it nice and cheap but hopefully it’ll actually inspire me to get out and do stuff! As you say I am a bit of a procrastinator
And if you’re around and want to help me cross off a few things then so much the better!

Well I can help you with number 82, and I fully support number 13… swap you some for some Elderflower champagne?

Well ‘A Fool’, you’re on! Now I just need to learn how to make Omi’s jam or this is all rather redundant….

June 11th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
Pssst!! I can’t believe some of the films you haven’t seen!!
You haven’t seen Fight Club?? What planet have you been on????
Brad Pitt and Edward Norton!!! HELLLOOOOO?????

Jan, you loony! We’ll go somewhere when you’re back over.
Omi’s jam is the jam my german granny (hence Omi) used to make, and it was the best jam in the world!
And I know my film viewing history is bad, I’ve been making an effort recently which is why there are so many crossed off now (wouldn’t have been a year ago) but still a long way to go!
